Texas A&M International University is a higher-education institution operating an intercollegiate athletics program through its Athletics Department.

What you will do

• Oversee the daily operations and administration of an 11-team intercollegiate athletics program.
• Set long-range goals, lead strategic planning, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA Division II bylaws, Lone Star Conference regulations, and institutional requirements.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise coaches and Athletics Department staff.
• Develop the annual budget, maintain financial controls, and approve team travel and expenditures.
• Lead student-athlete welfare, community outreach, media relations, and Athletics Department fundraising efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible management experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, fiscal, management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven fundraising ability and commitment to student learning, success, growth, and development.
• Ability to comply with NCAA bylaws and Lone Star Conference regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work on campus with face-to-face interactions and maintain a regular workplace attendance schedule; evening, weekend, and travel requirements may apply.
