RF Power Engineering Intern

Location: Austin, TX; on-site

Compensation: $108,000–$126,000 annualized hourly equivalent, depending on experience and education; actual earnings vary by internship length and hours worked.

hirify.global is an early-stage hardware startup that designs and builds the hardware, software, fabs, tools, and components used to make semiconductor chips.

What you will do

• Design complete RF power systems from architecture through schematics and PCB layout.
• Develop accurate RF power diagnostics and metrology.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to gather system requirements.
• Help define firmware requirements for RF power systems.
• Source components and lead manufacturing activities.
• Own RF power systems through rapid design, prototyping, testing, and production cycles.

Requirements

• Experience building RF systems.
• Experience designing RF resonant power amplifiers in the hundreds-of-watts range.
• Experience designing RF power measurement sensors.
• Hands-on prototyping and testing experience.
• Experience with cable harness design, documentation, and fabrication.
• A portfolio of built projects is required for application.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in power electronics or a related field.
• Plasma systems experience.
• Systems engineering and integration experience.
