Account Executive, Public Relations (Health)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; Washington, District of Columbia, United States. Remote work is available only to candidates residing in the listed U.S. states and Washington, D.C. at the time of hire. Hybrid work requires three in-office days per week for candidates within commuting distance of the New York or San Francisco offices.

Salary: $54,000–$62,000 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Support client programs across media relations, awards, speaking programs, content development, and campaign planning.
• Track deliverables, timelines, priorities, meeting notes, recaps, and follow-up actions.
• Build relationships with healthcare, life sciences, and health-tech reporters and influencers.
• Research media opportunities, develop targeted media lists, and draft pitches that generate relevant coverage.
• Write and edit press releases, Q&As, award submissions, speaking abstracts, bios, articles, blogs, and background materials.
• Track campaign performance and collaborate with social, content, and design colleagues on integrated delivery.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of public relations or communications experience in an agency setting.
• Experience or background in healthcare, life sciences, or health-tech.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to accuracy, clarity, tone, and messaging consistency.
• Experience supporting media relations and securing coverage.
• Strong organization, multitasking, communication, and time-management skills.
• Curiosity about emerging technology trends and storytelling opportunities.
