Accounting Data Solution Senior Consultant (Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-person work two days per week in the Washington, DC / Alexandria, Virginia area; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $103,000–$180,000 annual base pay, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Bridge accounting and finance stakeholders with technical development teams.
• Gather business requirements and translate accounting processes into technical specifications.
• Design analytics solutions, build prototypes, and solve accounting problems using data.
• Work with developers to deliver applications and provide actionable guidance to junior developers.
• Validate that technical solutions meet accounting needs and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, milestones, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, information systems, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, data analytics, financial management, or a related area.
• At least four years of experience using Python, PySpark, R, SQL, or other programming languages.
• Experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of USSGL accounts and business analysis using General Ledger data.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the DoW War Data Platform, DoW ERP systems, or similar data platforms.
• Background in public accounting, auditing, financial analytics, or DoW financial management.
• Experience querying multiple ERP subledger tables for procure-to-pay analysis.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrating on-premises and cloud-based data sources.
