Location: Remote-friendly with travel required; staff are expected to work from one of the company's offices at least 25% of the time. Office location: San Francisco, California, United States.
Annual salary: $230,000β$300,000 USD.

What you will do
- Lead US international tax planning projects from analysis through implementation.
- Analyze tax consequences of new entities, jurisdictions, intercompany arrangements, financing, repatriation, and cross-border commercial and compute agreements.
- Perform and review technical work involving subpart F, NCTI, BEAT, foreign tax credits, expense allocation, and apportionment.
- Apply subchapter C rules to formations, contributions, distributions, liquidations, and internal reorganizations.
- Define and review tax models covering cash tax, effective tax rates, acquired structures, and legislative or regulatory changes.
- Support post-acquisition integration, technical memoranda, IRS inquiries, external advisor management, and coordination with Legal, Treasury, Accounting, compliance, and transfer pricing.
Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge of US international tax provisions, including subpart F, NCTI, BEAT, and foreign tax credits, applied in planning contexts.
- Working knowledge of subchapter C for multinational groups, including earnings and profits, stock basis, distributions, and reorganizations.
- Experience leading tax planning projects end to end, including technical analysis, modeling, documentation, and implementation.
- Ability to research the Code, regulations, and administrative guidance and write clear technical memoranda.
- Ability to review tax models, identify incorrect assumptions or mechanics, manage multiple projects, and explain uncertainty.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education, training, or experience; CPA, JD, or LLM in taxation is preferred.
Nice to have
- 10β15 years of US international tax experience, including public accounting, law firm, or in-house multinational technology company experience.
- Experience with post-acquisition integration, transfer pricing, Pillar Two, FDDEI, partnership tax, infrastructure investments, or large cross-border commercial arrangements.
- Experience supporting IRS examinations and developing other tax professionals.
- Experience using Claude or similar tools for tax research, modeling, or documentation.
