Lead Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Tufts Medical Center in Boston, United States; onsite clinical role

Pay range: $53.45–$68.16 per hour. New external hires may receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Perform independent ultrasound procedures across emergency, trauma, vascular, abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, transplant, NICU, and specialty imaging.
• Verify patients, procedures, imaging protocols, examination steps, and scanner parameters.
• Coordinate patient flow and care with other departments.
• Lead daily operations by assigning staff to rooms and ensuring coverage.
• Provide clinical and technical guidance, teach students, and support technologists during shifts.
• Maintain patient and staff safety, equipment quality control, supplies, and compliant work areas.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification through ARDMS.
• Five years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic equipment, ultrasound examinations, procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, independent working, teaching, and leadership skills.

• Previous experience as a Lead Ultrasound Technologist.
