Wealth Accounting Lead (Financial Services)

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate; hybrid and onsite work arrangement

Salary: $81,280–$121,920 per year

What you will do

• Perform financial accounting functions for assigned products, including revenue, fees, expenses, field compensation, and suspense accounts.
• Prepare and analyze complex product-line financial results and reporting on statutory and GAAP bases.
• Research and resolve complex reconciliations, imbalances, open suspense items, and product accounting issues.
• Maintain internal controls and lead sustainability efforts supporting compliance with the NAIC Model Audit Rule.
• Analyze contract administration and product accounting systems and lead system or process improvements.
• Represent the division on projects, audits, task forces, regulatory reporting, and special initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least five years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Experience applying statutory or GAAP accounting standards in insurance or financial services.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, independent working, and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance and investment products and financial services operations.
• Ability to work in the Milwaukee, WI corporate location under the stated hybrid and onsite arrangement.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
