Lead CAD Technician (Civil 3D)

What you will do

• Produce detailed CAD drawings with limited guidance.
• Lead and manage comprehensive drawing packages and project details.
• Review and coordinate work completed by project teams and junior drafters.
• Maintain drafting standards and manage CAD workflows for productivity.
• Communicate with clients and team members and mentor less experienced drafters.

Requirements

• A.S. or B.S. degree in drafting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of CAD design and drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of civil design standards, alignments, profiles, and orthographic projections.
• Working understanding of GIS elements, coordinate systems, spatial data, and projections.
• Basic VBA and simple coding or scripting skills for process automation, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
