Social Media Marketing Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Reston, Virginia; hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week in the Reston office. US citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance or higher as required.

Salary: $21–$30 per hour

What you will do

• Create social media content and campaigns for recruiting, events, corporate news, videos, and other initiatives.
• Design graphics for the company website, social media campaigns, events, capability one-pagers, and other branded materials.
• Support event planning, newsletters, monthly announcements, press releases, web content, and internal communications projects.
• Collaborate with corporate teams, including Talent Acquisition, on targeted intern recruiting campaigns.
• Work with fellow interns on a technically focused project and present the results to the executive team.
• Attend corporate meetings to gain exposure to business development, finance, project management, and government contracting.

Requirements

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
• Writing experience, including blog posts, press releases, or corporate writing.
• Experience with Adobe, Canva, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive approach, follow-through, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Must be able to commute to the Reston, Virginia office at least two days per week.
• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a public trust clearance or higher are required.
