What you will do

  • Provide technical expertise and management support for Fort Irwin’s National Historic Preservation Act consultation and Section 106/110 documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain curation protocols and workflows while overseeing data quality and project standards.
  • Coordinate project initiation, assessments, work plans, estimates, controls, milestones, permits, and deadlines.
  • Perform geospatial mapping and GIS work, and review and revise technical reports.
  • Develop ARPA and NAGPRA plans of action for inadvertent discoveries and support ICRMP and agreement-document tasks.
  • Support Tribal consultations, meetings, site visits, and documentation of cultural resources, archaeological sites, sacred sites, and Traditional Cultural Places.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of related project coordination or administration experience.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to general and expert audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, meet deadlines, multitask, and collaborate with diverse people and institutions.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and standard proofreading.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to use professional relationships to influence positive outcomes.
