TL;DR
Lead Data Engineer (AI): Designing, building, and managing data pipelines and AI solutions from concept through operationalization with an accent on ELT, cloud data platforms, and LLM-based agents. Focus on developing production-ready data and AI services, implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, RAG, vector search, and performance scaling.
Location: Atlanta Support Center, United States; expected on-site presence of 80%

What you will do
- Lead and mentor multiple data engineering team members while setting engineering standards and best practices.
- Design, build, deploy, maintain, and document data platforms, services, pipelines, and processes for ingestion, transformation, storage, distribution, management, and quality.
- Design and operationalize AI solutions, including generative AI and agentic AI systems, from proof of concept through production support.
- Implement infrastructure as code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and scalable service architectures.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, data modelers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into data and AI solutions.
- Lead technical sessions, solve engineering challenges, and present data engineering practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL, including analytical functions, scripts, stored procedures, materialized views, and database views.
- 5+ years of hands-on ELT design and development focused on loading and transforming data in databases.
- 3+ years of experience using DevOps models and CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on Python experience and experience with at least one cloud platform; Azure Cloud Platform, including ADLS and Blob, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of LLM agents, prompt engineering, RAG, document processing, vector and hybrid search, guardrails, observability, monitoring, and LLM evaluation.
Nice to have
- Snowflake experience.
- Experience with Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Tableau.
