Staff Platform Engineer

Location: Must be based in or able to work from our San Francisco or New York office

hirify.global is an engineering-focused company building Crucible, a platform designed to streamline deployment systems and developer tooling for customer applications.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap of the Crucible platform.
• Build and maintain deployment systems, developer tooling, and reusable platform abstractions.
• Solve complex, deployment-specific problems and translate them into extensible platform capabilities.
• Manage production reliability, including instrumentation, debugging, and security improvements.
• Provide technical leadership through system design, code reviews, and establishing engineering standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on platform infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Staff-level impact demonstrated through technical direction and delivery of complex systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, networking, and production observability.
• Must be able to work hands-on from our San Francisco or New York office.
