Copywriter Intern

Location: Knoxville, TN, United States

Salary: $18 per hour; paid internship for 8.5 weeks from September 23, 2026 to November 20, 2026, up to 25 hours per week.

What you will do

• Contribute to the conceptual and written development of creative projects.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copywriters to execute copy.
• Write copy for internal presentations and client deliverables.
• Research trends and develop concepts for how brands can participate in cultural and social conversations.
• Proofread and refine copy for assigned projects.

Requirements

• Relevant work or life experience, current enrollment as a senior in a bachelor’s program, or recent graduation in Media, Marketing, Advertising, Portfolio School, or a similar field; a degree is not required.
• An engaging portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting ability.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Strong visual and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a flexible, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Passion for social media and popular culture trends.
• Working knowledge of Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, and emerging social platforms.
