Business Systems Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco or New York City; in-office company

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Own and scale the business systems ecosystem, including the ERP, Ramp, Navan, TeamOhana, Aleph, Variabl, and other critical platforms.
• Manage systems strategy, architecture, configuration, integrations, access governance, data integrity, optimization, and administration.
• Design end-to-end financial and operational processes and close integration gaps between upstream tools and the ERP.
• Identify bottlenecks across Finance, Accounting, People, and Legal and deploy automated or AI-powered solutions to reduce manual work and errors.
• Lead new tool, feature, and upgrade rollouts, including team training, user acceptance testing, and business continuity.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, People, Legal, and Engineering to turn business requirements into scalable solutions and communicate measurable impact to leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience administering business systems such as ERP, HRIS, spend, and travel platforms.
• Hands-on experience using AI-native tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Cursor to automate and ship real workflows.
• Deep knowledge of finance and accounting workflows, including AP, AR, GL, month-end close, and consolidations.
• Ability to assess build-versus-buy decisions and select appropriate middleware or off-the-shelf solutions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, People, Legal, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to independently drive complex projects in ambiguous environments without formal authority.
