Summer 2027 Accounting Intern (Banking)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at 626 Washington Place. Internship opportunities do not include corporate housing or sponsorship. Only candidates legally authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered.

What you will do

• Rotate through financial reporting, accounting operations, tax accounting, accounting policy, and SOX internal control teams.
• Support month-end financial reporting, including close packets, Form 10-Q drafts, earnings releases, presentations, and call reports.
• Prepare daily reconciliations, process accounts payable, and support lease and fixed asset accounting.
• Assist with tax returns, Schedule M-3, accounting policy updates, and accounting research.
• Support SOX 302 certifications, control updates, new control documentation, and internal control issue assessments.
• Complete projects and participate in scheduled summer intern events and training.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program with a major such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Information Technology.
• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior professional experience required.
• Ability to analyze information, communicate clearly, work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
