TL;DR

Payroll Specialist (EMEA Payroll): Supporting accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations across an EMEA country cluster with an accent on payroll validation, statutory calculations, vendor coordination, and workforce governance. Focus on maintaining payroll continuity during a business transition, resolving complex payroll issues, and improving multi-country payroll processes.

Location: Asturias, Spain; flexible home office opportunities are available.

What you will do

Manage day-to-day payroll administration for a cluster of EMEA countries, including France, Spain, and the UK.
Coordinate payroll inputs, processing, validations, and outputs with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders.
Validate payroll data, statutory calculations, social contributions, reporting, and country-specific outputs.
Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, Shared Services, vendors, and regional payroll leadership.
Support payroll continuity, Day 1 readiness, stabilization, and process improvement during the transition to a standalone organization.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience supporting payroll operations across multiple countries or regions.
Experience working with outsourced payroll providers or payroll vendors.
Experience in unionized, labor-intensive, or employee-representative environments.
Experience with collective bargaining agreements, labor unions, Works Councils, or similar workforce governance structures.
Strong payroll controls, compliance, issue resolution, problem-solving, accuracy, and prioritization skills.
Strong business English required.

Nice to have

Fluency in French.
Experience with ADP, TMF, Workday, or similar payroll and HR technology platforms.
Experience in manufacturing, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, life sciences, or industrial environments.
Experience with carve-outs, business separations, mergers, acquisitions, transformations, payroll automation, documentation, or standardization.
