Sr. Manager, Color Design - HOKA Footwear

Location: Portland, Oregon — in office

Salary: $122,300–$165,000 per year, with individual pay determined by location, skills, experience, and education or training.

What you will do

• Lead color design for category-priority projects and establish color direction for products and categories.
• Develop seasonal color palettes, tools, strategies, annual franchise concepts, and long-term creative visions for HOKA Footwear.
• Explore innovative “blue sky” concepts and translate consumer, market, and trend insights into product color solutions.
• Collaborate with design, product, brand, merchandising, and other business partners to support commercial goals.
• Manage creation calendars for inline, collaboration, and SMU seasonal projects.
• Mentor the design team and participate in seasonal kickoffs, design travel, and inspiration planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, product design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in color design, preferably in footwear.
• Expert knowledge of color theory and regional and global trends.
• Advanced understanding of footwear materials, construction, and production processes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Miro, or Lucid.
• Expertise in leading generative AI platforms such as Midjourney or Vizcom, plus strong leadership, communication, and mentoring experience.
