Location: Seattle, Washington, US. The role requires spending four days per week in the Seattle offices and includes approximately 10% travel to Asia, Europe, trade shows, races, and factory sites.
Salary: $104,217–$156,324 per year, plus potential annual performance bonus.

What you will do
- Translate athlete-driven performance needs and biomechanical insights into innovative footwear geometries, forms, and product concepts.
- Use Grasshopper, Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, TouchDesigner, and related computational tools to explore and develop footwear designs.
- Generate production tooling geometry and production-ready models across NURBS, mesh, and other geometry types.
- Build computational workflows, tools, and processes using programming and scripting to expand 3D software capabilities.
- Collaborate with Innovation Footwear Design, Run Research, Product Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering on prototypes and performance-driven concepts.
- Present computational solutions clearly, manage project timelines, and share computational knowledge across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Product Design, 3D Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of professional experience in computational design and advanced geometry creation.
- High proficiency with algorithmic and computational modeling tools, including Grasshopper, Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, or TouchDesigner.
- Programming or scripting experience with C#, Python, VEX, Java, or comparable languages.
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D and other directed modeling tools such as Blender, Alias, or Maya, with strong knowledge of computational geometry, parametric methods, and 3D interoperability.
- Strong systems thinking, communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with empathy for athletes and their needs.
