VP, Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build and lead the global cybersecurity governance, risk, and regulatory assurance function.
• Own cybersecurity policies, standards, exceptions, risk registers, treatment decisions, and executive reporting.
• Lead regulatory readiness, internal and external audits, examinations, evidence management, and remediation closure.
• Define cyber-relevant IT general controls covering access, change management, logging, vulnerabilities, patching, backup, and recovery.
• Lead cybersecurity due diligence and post-acquisition risk uplift for mergers and acquisitions.
• Manage security awareness, phishing resilience, GRC modernization, AI-assisted workflows, KPIs, and KRIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or assurance within regulated industries.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and influencing senior executives, including board-level writing and presentations.
• Experience building scalable governance, risk, and assurance programs in high-growth or acquisitive environments.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, SOC, financial regulatory environments, enterprise risk, and control frameworks.
• Experience managing audits, regulatory examinations, and GRC tools such as OneTrust, Archer, LogicGate, or ServiceNow GRC.
• Comfort with on-site work in Atlanta is required to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnerships.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, or CRISC certification.
• Master’s degree.
