Manufacturing Operations Team Lead (Pharma Manufacturing)

Location: Waterford, Ireland; on-site. 23-month fixed-term contract with rotating 24/5, 8-hour shifts across days, afternoons, and nights.

Salary: €54,800–€73,067 per year.

What you will do

• Manage manufacturing areas and ensure production objectives are delivered on time, in full, and right first time.
• Oversee packing operations for rare disease products in compliance with cGMP and safety standards.
• Conduct production-area walkthroughs, monitor GMP compliance, and review deviations and manufacturing documentation.
• Prepare, review, and approve manufacturing records and documentation.
• Set team goals and support performance in safety, productivity, and quality.
• Train and assess team-member competence, manage performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Technical qualification in science or engineering.
• Demonstrable leadership and people-management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Ability to influence, lead, and drive change.
• Proactive approach with the ability to understand the broader organisational context.
• Availability for on-site rotating shifts covering days, afternoons, and nights.

Nice to have

• Experience with Electronic Batch Records and SAP.
• Diploma in Supervisory Management or equivalent.
