What you will do

• Prepare annual, monthly, consolidated, and ad hoc GAAP financial statements and management reports.
• Process, record, and reconcile transactions for the credit union, subsidiaries, and CUSOs while maintaining general ledger integrity.
• Analyze complex accounting areas including deferred loan origination fees and costs, participation loans, deferred rent, mortgage servicing rights, and derivatives.
• Prepare city, county, state, and federal tax returns, including property tax, sales tax, and 1099 forms.
• Prepare quarterly NCUA call reports and recurring Federal Reserve and other external financial reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments, management, operational teams, and external auditors while leading accounting projects and process documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, transaction processing, and general ledger activities.
• Ability to work in Santa Ana, California.
• Compliance with applicable regulations, assigned training, and BSA requirements; the organization participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
