Manager, Payroll Operations - Eastern Europe

What you will do

• Lead a team of payroll specialists and own accuracy, timeliness, compliance, performance, and engagement outcomes.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery for a defined group of Eastern European or other regional countries.
• Lead investigations, resolve escalated payroll issues, and apply policies and controls consistently.
• Manage external payroll vendors and maintain auditable, documented operational processes.
• Support new country launches, vendor transitions, and payroll in-housing initiatives through go-live and stabilization.
• Drive process improvement, automation, standardized workflows, KPI tracking, and Zendesk service operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience owning payroll outcomes for teams in regional or multi-country environments.
• People leadership experience, including coaching, feedback, performance input, and recommendations on hiring or team changes.
• Experience leading operational investigations and balancing speed, accuracy, compliance, and customer impact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in async environments.
• Fluent English is required.
