Vehicle Valuation & Buyer Analyst (Automotive)

What you will do

• Conduct salvage valuations for vehicles, heavy salvage, caravans, and marine assets using auction data, market trends, and proprietary pricing data.
• Complete accurate valuations within agreed SLA turnaround times and maintain current knowledge of auction market conditions.
• Collaborate with Remarketing, Sales, and Operations teams to align valuations with business strategies and customer expectations.
• Provide valuation reports and insights for internal decisions and customer discussions, including buy prices for denied claim vehicles.
• Analyse the auction sales database, maintain the IAA AU Vehicle Database, and identify vehicles for online advertising.
• Improve valuation methodologies and support the AU pricing guide build-out while following company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience valuing vehicles.
• Experience with salvage vehicle valuations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of salvage vehicle valuations and auction market trends.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to interpret historical auction data, market trends, and pricing information.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Australia.
