Infrastructure Security Engineer (Palo Alto)

Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, and application control.
• Design and implement secure network architectures across LAN, WAN, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Apply segmentation, micro-segmentation, zero trust, defense in depth, cloud firewalls, VPC security, routing, and load balancing.
• Own security technology implementations end to end, including documentation, knowledge bases, delivery, and post-implementation support.
• Act as an L3 escalation point for security operations and incidents, and support technical audits and compliance reviews.
• Develop security automation, pentesting workflows, recovery plans, and business continuity capabilities in collaboration with security, IT, network, operations, and GRC teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, routing, TLS, PKI, certificate-based trust, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience, including Network ACLs, Azure NSGs, and AWS security groups.
• Experience with Cisco Networks, Private LTE technologies, S1, Cloudflare, and Wiz.
• Working knowledge of Python, Bash/ZSH, Go, another programming language, or LLM-assisted engineering tools for automation and security solutions.
• Ability to work onsite in Burbank, California.
