Senior Project Manager - Transmission (Electrical Construction)

Location: Alvarado, Texas, United States; work is performed onsite at a company-designated office or field location.

MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of hirify.global, provides specialty contracting and engineer-procure-construct services for transmission, substation, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day delivery of electrical transmission line construction projects.
• Prepare construction schedules, look-ahead documents, progress reports, billing information, and client deliverables.
• Develop labor and material cost estimates, perform field take-offs, and prepare bills of material.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and support change-order preparation.
• Coordinate project personnel, clients, subcontractors, construction teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Attend field walk-downs and evaluate constructability, document accuracy, and project requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project management experience in the transmission and distribution industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of specifications, proposals, cost estimating, the National Electrical Code, and applicable local codes.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating software such as Accubid, and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
