Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Implement and improve security controls across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, assessing workloads for security risks and compliance gaps.
• Evaluate, design, and implement security solutions, including POCs, pilots, vendor evaluations, and secure-by-design initiatives.
• Integrate SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat and vulnerability management, threat intelligence, CMDB, and ITSM platforms.
• Build automation workflows, scripts, APIs, dashboards, reports, and visualizations for actionable security insights.
• Design deception environments using honeypots, honeytokens, and deceptive assets to improve threat detection.
• Develop identity security capabilities covering SSO, MFA, privileged access management, role management, and access reviews.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in security engineering, SOC, threat and vulnerability management, or cyber defense roles.
• Hands-on experience with security engineering, SOC technologies, or security architecture, including API integrations, scripting, or automation with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP; knowledge of cloud-native and container security controls.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, and identity security fundamentals.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Entra ID, and Azure Security services.
• Knowledge of data engineering, modern analytics platforms, SOC maturity models, threat modeling, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and detection engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with deception technologies, honeypots, or attack simulation.
• Experience in global enterprise or regulated environments.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks.
