Senior Programming Manager, CEE & MENAT (Broadcasting)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic — hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: CZK 91,667–133,333 gross per month, plus an on-target bonus of 15% depending on company performance.

What you will do

• Develop and lead audience-first editorial and scheduling strategies for hirify.global channels and non-linear platforms across CEE & MENAT.
• Shape content acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies, with a focus on Polish and CEE markets.
• Recommend genre mixes, title selections, and portfolio priorities using audience insights and performance analysis.
• Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, strategic scheduling, operational planning, and financial balancing.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risks, opportunities, regulatory requirements, and financial targets while optimising ROI.
• Line-manage and develop Programming Managers, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience in television scheduling or a related environment, including the financial and operational impact of schedules.
• Strong data literacy, from data extraction and manipulation through strategic interpretation and application.
• Deep understanding of how television and online content is commissioned, financed, produced, and scheduled.
• Experience leading and developing teams and presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Professional fluency in Czech and English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in media, entertainment, or digital video.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Experience managing complex budgets, quotas, and forward scheduling cycles.
• Strong editorial compliance, influencing, and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Additional language skills, particularly Polish.
