Sr. Solutions Architect - Life Sciences (Databricks, Data and AI): Leading complex customer architectures and consumption strategies for enterprise data and AI platforms with an accent on distributed systems, streaming, lakehouse design, governance, and cloud-native technologies. Focus on designing large-scale migrations and real-time systems, influencing executive stakeholders, driving platform adoption, and orchestrating cross-functional technical teams.
Location: Remote in Germany, or based in Frankfurt or Berlin

What you will do
- Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex enterprise customer engagements.
- Build senior-level relationships and advise customers on enterprise data and AI strategy.
- Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
- Develop competitive strategies and position the Databricks Platform against incumbent and emerging technologies.
- Coordinate DSAs, SSAs, partners, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Mentor junior solutions architects and contribute to technical thought leadership through workshops, content, and community engagement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
- Expert coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark or PySpark experience is preferred.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent expertise with competing platforms.
- Recognized specialization in areas such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions.
- Professional working proficiency in German and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
