What you will do

• Drive technical and consumption strategies for complex customer engagements, influencing platform adoption and revenue growth.
• Own senior technical relationships and advise enterprise stakeholders on data and AI strategy.
• Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
• Serve as a Databricks Platform expert, mentor other Solutions Architects, and drive technical impact across the team and region.
• Develop competitive strategies and lead complex enterprise evaluations and platform displacements.
• Coordinate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
• Expert coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark/PySpark experience is preferred for the role.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent expertise in competing platforms with the ability to learn quickly.
• Experience driving consumption growth, platform adoption, competitive displacements, and complex enterprise evaluations.
• Professional working proficiency in German and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Published thought leadership, conference talks, or open-source contributions.
• Deep Life Sciences and Healthcare expertise, including data strategies for R&D, clinical trials, and commercialization.
