Deputy Client Accounting Manager - Swindon

Location: Swindon, United Kingdom; office attendance required at least four days per week, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

What you will do

• Deputise for the Client Accounting Manager and supervise up to three Fund Accountants, including training, performance management, and recruitment support.
• Review and sign off NAV valuations, NAV computations, monthly management accounts, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Review annual statutory financial statements, audit workings, MSCI data, management information, liquidity forecasts, and Board reporting.
• Review VAT returns, general ledger reconciliations, capital gains tax and capital allowance computations, and submissions to HM Revenue & Customs.
• Administer and account for property purchases and sales, including VAT treatment, legal liaison, treasury coordination, and capital allowance information.
• Provide fund updates to the Fund Manager, monitor investment restrictions, maintain accounting standards and operational controls, and manage client relationships.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant: CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience in management accounting and strong financial accounting skills, including variance analysis and interpretation.
• Experience managing and motivating direct reports.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work independently to deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and experience working with colleagues at all levels and with clients.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services.
• Fund accounting or real asset fund accounting experience.
• Experience with Horizon or other accounting systems.
