AI Tutor - Legal & Compliance

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs; hiring is currently unavailable in Wyoming and Illinois

Salary: $45–$100/hour for US-based candidates; compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Provide accurate inputs and labels for legal and compliance projects using proprietary software.
• Curate high-quality training data for regulatory compliance, contract analysis, legal research, and dispute resolution scenarios.
• Collaborate with technical staff to train new AI tasks and support technology development.
• Help design and improve annotation tools for legal and compliance data.
• Analyze complex legal and compliance problems to improve AI model performance.
• Interpret evolving instructions and execute tasks accurately and autonomously.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree or foreign equivalent.
• At least two years of practicing law in a relevant practice area.
• Relevant certification, license, advanced legal training, or bar admission.
• Strong legal analysis, writing, reading comprehension, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring or training others in legal practices.
• Comfort recording audio or video sessions for data collection.
• Familiarity with AI or data annotation workflows in a technical setting.
