Underground Power and Communications Laborer - Michels Underground Cable, Inc.

Location: State of Wisconsin, United States; travel required

Underground cable and duct bank contractor delivering power transmission, power distribution, renewable energy, and communications infrastructure across the United States.

What you will do

• Operate equipment on telecommunications and deenergized buried power construction projects.
• Maneuver and navigate equipment around active job sites.
• Use mini-excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, and dozers to move materials and equipment.
• Support installation of underground power, fiber optic, copper, coaxial, and communications cables.
• Follow job-site safety expectations and contribute to a safety-focused work environment.

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of operator experience with mini-excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, or dozers.
• Willingness to work under a union collective bargaining agreement.
• Valid driver's license for the vehicles operated and an acceptable driving record.
• Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement, or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to work in Wisconsin and travel as required.
