Senior Claim Professional - Casualty and Property

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with three days per week in the office and two days at home

What you will do

• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex and large casualty and property claims, generally valued above €100,000.
• Open claims, set reserves within delegated authority, and investigate coverage, liability, and quantum.
• Develop reserving strategies and settlement tactics with senior colleagues for claims exceeding delegated authority.
• Negotiate fair and timely settlements, communicate on coverage, and maintain accurate claims data and service standards.
• Monitor vendor performance, cost, and quality while delivering effective claims services.
• Collaborate with claims management, underwriting, actuarial, risk management, insureds, brokers, and other business areas.

Requirements

• Significant experience and sound judgment in handling claims within the relevant lines of business.
• Thorough technical expertise and a proven record managing key client accounts, trends, issues, risks, and exposures.
• Accredited Product Advisor (APA) qualification or above.
• Advanced communication, customer focus, and credibility.
• Intermediate strategic planning, business perspective, collaborative relationship-building, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Experience handling claims in the Republic of Ireland; UK and Northern Ireland claims experience is useful but not essential.

Nice to have

• Experience handling professional indemnity and medical malpractice claims.
• Experience with casualty lines including employers’ liability, public liability, product liability, and cyber/tech liability.
