Capital Programme Leads - South Island (Capital Projects/Programme Management): Supporting the delivery of multiple capital projects and programmes across Fonterra's operations with an accent on governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness. Focus on leading portfolio-wide improvements, translating complex information into practical actions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver safe and efficient investments.

Location: On-site in New Zealand; future opportunities may be based in Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch.

What you will do

  • Support the delivery of multiple capital projects and programmes across the operations portfolio.
  • Support Project Managers and Programme Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead programme reporting, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and governance activities.
  • Drive capability development in risk management, health and safety, operational readiness, and commissioning.
  • Lead portfolio-wide improvement initiatives and embed best-practice project management approaches.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support collaboration and successful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to or leading multidisciplinary projects or programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multiple organisational levels.
  • Experience supporting business case development, investment assessment, and programme governance.
  • Strong risk management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to translate complexity into practical actions.
  • Collaborative leadership experience across cross-functional teams.
  • Degree in engineering, technology, science, commerce, or a related discipline.

  • Project management qualification.
