Control System Engineer (MATLAB/Simulink)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States — onsite. Travel up to 10% annually.

Salary: $122,500–$168,400 per year, with bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and productize advanced control-law algorithms for dynamic heavy machinery.
• Use MATLAB and Simulink for model-based design, signal conditioning, and feedback-loop compensation.
• Develop sensor-fusion and filter-design solutions for real-time pose estimation and vehicle-dynamics modeling.
• Validate and evaluate algorithms in simulation environments and on real-time target hardware.
• Define system architectures and collaborate across engineering teams to maintain product performance, quality, and software integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing control algorithms for dynamic systems.
• Experience applying automatic control systems to off-highway machinery.
• Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink model-based design.
• Experience testing, validating, verifying, and productizing core algorithms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, GNC, or a related engineering field.
• Ability to work onsite in Westminster, Colorado, with up to 10% annual travel.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, GNC, or a related field.
• Experience with Kalman filters, GNSS and IMU integration, or autonomous vehicle control.
• C/C++ development, Simulink auto-code generation, and ROS experience.
• Safety-critical software certification, HIL/SIL testing, or systems identification with Simscape.
