TL;DR
Technical Implementation Specialist (Medical Devices): Leading the technical implementation of medical device products at customer clinical locations with an accent on system installation, hospital-system integration, and customer technical support. Focus on integrating EMR systems and enterprise APIs, resolving networking and security issues, and coordinating technical activities across implementation and cross-functional teams.

Location: United States of America (Remote); ideal candidates live in the Mountain and Western U.S. regions near a major metropolitan city. Travel up to 75% is required.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus plan targeting 10% of base salary.

What you will do

  • Lead technical implementations with customer IT, biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, and informatics counterparts.
  • Identify, schedule, and resolve technical installation and customization issues.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the technical team throughout implementation.
  • Develop joint solutions with customer technical groups and coordinate technical activities with the Implementation Project Manager.
  • Analyze installed-system data to support continuous product improvement.
  • Support product presentations, demonstrations, RFI/RFP responses, and cross-functional customer-support solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; biomedical engineering is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of related experience, including deep experience with system installation and support in clinical settings.
  • Experience integrating hospital systems and EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • Experience with enterprise web interfaces and APIs, Wi-Fi, networking, remote access, VPNs, firewalls, SQL, databases, and report generation.
  • Experience with medical-device regulatory compliance, including complaint, installation, and service records.
  • Professional English communication skills are required; travel by air or automobile and flexible hours or weekends may be required.
