2027 Energy Engineering Intern (Remote)

Location: Virtual/Remote; Davidson, North Carolina. This posting covers multiple opportunities, some of which may require hybrid or onsite assignments at facilities across North America.

Hourly base pay: $22.50–$31.00.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to identify customer energy opportunities and support small energy projects.
• Perform technical analysis, project reviews, and risk assessments for energy projects.
• Conduct building walk-throughs and identify architectural, mechanical, and electrical energy conservation measures.
• Support reporting capabilities, investigate new technologies, and analyze data outputs for trends and deviations.
• Assist with preliminary audits, benchmarking, site surveys, interviews, and technical opportunity qualification.
• Develop benchmark summary reports and support measurement and verification of system performance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, preferably Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, throughout the summer internship.
• Completed at least the sophomore year before the internship begins.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Hold a valid driver's license for at least 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
• Have no major or frequent traffic violations, including recent DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple preventable collisions.
