Senior Backend Engineer - Golang Make an impact (Golang)

Location: Madrid, Spain

Salary: €60,000–€100,000 gross annually for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation and location-specific benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate robust backend services using Golang.
• Architect and maintain a Federated API connecting configuration and asset data across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
• Optimize CMDB databases and integrate them with corporate processes.
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized Kubernetes deployments.
• Monitor application performance with Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus and transform data through ETL workflows and complex SQL.
• Explore generative AI, intelligent agents, and other emerging technologies through practical proofs of concept.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Golang programming experience.
• 8+ years of experience with modern programming languages.
• Strong SQL, database modeling, and database optimization skills.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or an equivalent cloud platform.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proficiency in Angular 2+ and Node.js frontend development, along with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and intelligent systems.
• Experience with ETL workflows and large-scale data processing.
• Background in enterprise IT environments and configuration management.
