TL;DR
Wealth Management Intern (Financial Planning): Preparing client-facing financial planning materials and analyzing wealth management information for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients with an accent on financial projections, risk management, retirement planning, taxes, insurance, and estate planning. Focus on building customized planning templates, researching financial topics, managing confidential documents, and supporting client meetings and departmental initiatives.

Location: Columbus, Ohio; onsite in the office 4–5 days per week

What you will do

  • Prepare client presentation materials, including financial independence and education projections, net worth statements, cash flow reports, budgets, and planning summaries.
  • Review, summarize, and analyze client information related to risk management, retirement planning, benefits, taxes, estate planning, gifting, charitable giving, and education.
  • Prepare customized financial planning templates for client meetings.
  • Research financial planning topics and support firm projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Manage client and firm documents in the document management system.
  • Represent hirify.global professionally with clients, external professionals, and the public.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising juniors and seniors are preferred, while rising sophomores may also apply.
  • Basic understanding of financial planning and investment concepts, with familiarity with insurance, estate planning, and tax principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and workload-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately under deadlines.
  • Professionalism, ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and a strong client-service attitude are required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; U.S. employment opportunities are generally limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
