Manager, Chemistry

Location: Wilson, North Carolina, United States; onsite

Salary: $90,816–$126,991 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus plan with a target of 10% of base salary.

What you will do

• Manage and prioritize multiple laboratory work teams performing timely and accurate testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure testing demonstrates compliance with FDA, cGMP, customer, and company quality requirements.
• Train, develop, motivate, and coordinate staff while building cross-trained, self-directed work teams.
• Evaluate corrective actions for out-of-specification and out-of-trend results and provide chemistry-related process recommendations.
• Support operating and capital budgets, annual product reviews, management reviews, cGMP inspections, and other audits.
• Harmonize processes with peers across sites and ensure compliance with environmental, energy, health, and occupational safety management systems.

Requirements

• Experience managing chemistry laboratory activities and teams.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry requirements, methods, and pharmaceutical changes.
• Ability to oversee testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements, FDA quality standards, inspections, and audits.
• Ability to evaluate OOS/OOT situations and recommend corrective actions.
• Ability to work onsite in Wilson, North Carolina.
