Frontend Web Developer (Shopify)

Location: Remote, Philippines

An ecommerce business growing a portfolio of brands across Shopify, Wix, and custom websites.

What you will do

• Own front-end updates, maintenance, content changes, and ongoing upkeep for the Wix company website and additional custom sites.
• Build custom, responsive, mobile-first landing pages across Shopify and Wix using HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript, and existing Shopify sections.
• Provide internal development support, review agency work, handle straightforward Shopify fixes, and track project tasks in Asana and Notion.
• Conduct quality checks, performance monitoring, cross-browser testing, and cross-device testing across all storefronts and web properties.
• Implement and audit accessibility improvements aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA, including color contrast, keyboard navigation, ARIA labels, and semantic HTML.
• Manage Shopify and Salsify product content, collections, blogs, theme customization, promotional content, and transactional notification email templates.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on Shopify experience, including Liquid theme customization and Shopify Admin operations.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to write and edit front-end code independently.
• Experience managing or updating Wix websites and working with Shopify products, collections, blogs, notification templates, and the theme customizer.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and the ability to implement code-level fixes.
• Experience reviewing or supporting an external development agency, documenting issues, managing task flow, and communicating revisions.
• Proficiency in Asana and Notion, strong attention to detail, self-direction, and effective written communication for asynchronous collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OneTrust, Cookiebot, or similar cookie consent platforms, including testing consent banners and privacy configurations.
