Federal Tax Services Associate (Fall 2027/Winter 2028)

Location: Madison, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $61,600–$73,500 per year

What you will do

• Support tax engagements across areas including corporate taxation, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entities, private clients, and nonprofit organizations.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Apply tax regulations and accounting pronouncements to client assignments.
• Collaborate with clients and engagement teams on multiple assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Working toward successful completion of the CPA exam.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
