Strategic Technologies Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Chicago, IL; regular travel required, with 90–100% of time spent across the US bakery network

Salary: $102,000–$142,800 annually

What you will do

• Execute strategic technology projects through research, business cases, laboratory testing, bakery integration, implementation, and support.
• Manage multiple simultaneous technical projects and lead project rollouts aligned with transformational objectives.
• Partner with operations, cross-functional teams, other business units, and external partners.
• Collect, interpret, and report data to generate project assessments and insights.
• Support operations through troubleshooting, training, and development of Champions and subject-matter experts.
• Build scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and cross-functional networks while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience evaluating baking process technologies, managing technical manufacturing projects, and supporting product lifecycles.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, statistical analysis, data analysis, and lean manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, influence cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and train others.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel 90–100%, primarily within the US, with occasional travel outside the US if needed.
