Requirements Engineer III (Insurance)

What you will do

• Analyze and clarify business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications, including process maps, wireframes, business architecture, and data models.
• Define comprehensive user stories, test cases, and acceptance criteria in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, Business Architecture, and the Data Office to maintain consistent system, process, and information architecture.
• Prioritize the Product Backlog based on Product Owner guidance and anticipate customer needs when developing solutions.
• Provide production support for business applications, handling user requests and triaging complex issues to development teams.
• Create and maintain project documentation on the corporate Wiki.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable position, with practical knowledge of agile delivery and cross-functional product teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
• Experience with Jira or similar agile management platforms such as Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Visio, Figma, or other process-mapping tools, with good knowledge of BPMN.
• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience, plus a general technical understanding of software or data-enabled products.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial insurance products and processes and knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with data modeling and database concepts.
• Familiarity with API design principles.
• Background in software development or technical implementation.
