Location: Remote within the United States. The role requires residence and work in the United States, three of the last five years of U.S. residency, and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance. Arlington, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland offices are available for employees who prefer to work on-site.

What you will do
- Provide architectural oversight for six applications across four development teams working with frontend, backend, and ETL technologies.
- Partner with Program Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to define product architecture, technical strategy, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Lead software delivery for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and ensure deliverables meet quality, completeness, and timeline expectations.
- Design and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and guide secure, scalable, and maintainable implementation practices.
- Lead Agile process improvements, facilitate Scrum rituals, manage Jira and Confluence, and communicate risks to senior stakeholders.
- Mentor technical leads and developers, review code, design proofs of concept, and remain hands-on with implementation.
Requirements
- Must reside and work in the United States and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance.
- Must have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least four years leading or architecting all phases of the Agile software development life cycle.
- More than eight years of progressive experience building and architecting large-scale enterprise applications with JavaScript, Node, and Angular, including SPA and REST architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Node, Angular, Fastify, AWS, Lambda, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Amazon SQS, Jenkins, UML, and BPM techniques.
- Experience with federal healthcare IT or government contract projects, Agile and SAFe practices, AWS Well-Architected principles, and complex system modernization.
Nice to have
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid systems and data.
- Hands-on experience building, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models using Amazon Bedrock or similar generative AI services.
- Experience developing and managing Drupal websites, including module development, theming, and configuration.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, machine learning, and additional cloud environments such as Google Cloud or Azure.
