Graphic Designer II

What you will do

• Provide multimedia, desktop publishing, presentation, and visual communications support for the ONR Corporate Strategic Communication Department.
• Create and maintain web and intranet pages, blogs, newsletters, magazines, social media content, articles, infographics, and other communication materials.
• Produce graphic layouts, artwork, audiovisual presentations, video news releases, b-roll clips, photographs, captions, and video descriptions.
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud and related multimedia tools to design, edit, format, and prepare final materials.
• Coordinate projects and production workflows with outside agencies, art services, printers, and other vendors.
• Ensure communication products comply with AP, Navy, ONR, and other applicable style guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic or visual arts, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of experience in graphic design or a related communications field.
• Professional experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Experience planning concepts, managing workflows and schedules, creating rough layouts, and preparing finished copy and artwork for printing.
• Ability to prepare final layouts and coordinate projects requiring external production partners.
• Strong creative design, layout, desktop publishing, customer service, flexibility, attention to detail, and deadline-management skills.
