Commercial Construction Superintendent (Advanced Manufacturing)

Location: Raleigh, NC; on-site commercial construction role

Base salary: $115,770–$165,770 per year; compensation may vary by city and state.

What you will do

• Direct on-site project workflow in line with the schedule, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead site staff and subcontractors, communicate project priorities, and serve as the primary on-site liaison for project stakeholders.
• Administer the safety program, manage jobsite safety, report and investigate incidents, and support external safety inspections.
• Maintain daily activity and site-condition logs, manage punch lists, and lead closeout through owner and architect acceptance.
• Coordinate with the project manager on scheduling, installation sequencing, commitments, long-lead items, temporary facilities, and utilities.
• Document work orders and tickets, manage subcontractor scope and relationships, identify issues early, and collaborate with project and site operations teams on solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Mastery of building processes and construction best practices.
• Ability to organize people, tools, time, and other resources to meet tight deadlines and achieve results.
• Ability to learn and use project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Clear, concise, professional written and verbal communication; ability to gather data, interpret it, and communicate its business impact.
• Ability to organize priorities, adapt to changing technology and construction methods, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and colleagues.
• Consistent integrity, punctuality, engagement, respectfulness, and commitment to continuous improvement are required.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business; additional work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Project lead or previous superintendent experience.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
