People Analytics Data Science & Research Manager (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California or San Diego, California, United States

Base pay: $234,000–$316,500 per year in Mountain View, plus potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set analytical and modeling direction for workforce forecasting, organizational effectiveness, employee research, and AI-native tooling.
• Connect insights across hiring, workforce planning, performance, internal mobility, compensation, and employee experience.
• Guide predictive and prescriptive modeling, experimentation, causal inference, and methodological frameworks.
• Co-create analytics strategies and success measurement for AI-native decision tools and influence the analytics product roadmap.
• Lead a distributed team of data scientists and researchers, setting standards for methodology review, documentation, and handoff.
• Partner with HR, People & Places, Finance, and senior executives to establish data definitions and turn analysis into decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in people analytics, data science, and applied research in people or workforce contexts.
• 4+ years managing analytics or data science teams; multi-team or multi-domain leadership is strongly preferred.
• Deep experience with predictive and prescriptive modeling, experimentation, and causal inference.
• Fluency in SQL and Python or R, plus experience with modern cloud data environments and workflow management tools.
• Experience with workforce forecasting, attrition and retention modeling, hiring funnel analytics, compensation, organizational effectiveness, survey methods, and psychometric research.
• Experience measuring AI-native analytics products and influencing senior executives through clear analytical storytelling.
