Staff Research Roboticist (Robotics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 annually, plus an annual bonus structure.

What you will do

• Design, implement, train, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning and reinforcement learning algorithms for complex last-mile delivery challenges.
• Develop and integrate robotics software in Python and/or C++.
• Evaluate algorithms in simulation environments and on a fleet of Spot robots.
• Test and improve perception or control solutions in unstructured outdoor environments.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience deploying advanced machine learning or reinforcement learning techniques directly on physical robotic hardware.
• Proficiency with a modern machine learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python or C++, including testing and system architecture.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
