L3 Senior Linux System Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Serve as the final L3 escalation point for complex server, hosting, networking, and performance issues.
• Manage, optimize, and secure Linux hosting environments based on CentOS, Ubuntu, and RHEL.
• Administer web servers, databases, caching layers, and servers built from the ground up.
• Develop automation scripts and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Deploy and manage KVM, OpenStack, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud environments.
• Implement security controls, monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and 24/7 on-call support while mentoring L1 and L2 engineers.

Requirements

• 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in web hosting or cloud environments.
• 7+ years in a Senior or Level 3 Engineer position.
• 7+ years of expert-level KVM and Libvirt experience.
• Expertise in cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP/LEMP, Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Memcached.
• Strong scripting skills in Perl, Bash, and Python; experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
• Networking, storage, security, monitoring, and 24/7 production operations experience, plus good English communication skills.

Nice to have

• RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Kubernetes CKA certification.
