Intern Tax and Accounting (Agriculture)

Location: Hybrid work at the Eau Claire, Onalaska, Dodgeville, Prairie du Sac, Sun Prairie, or Fond du Lac, Wisconsin offices; 24+ hours per week from January 2027 through April 2027.

Base pay: $19–$20 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Assist Tax Consultants with client financial information for annual payroll filings, monthly accounting, and federal and state tax work.
• Collaborate with CPAs, EAs, and tax and accounting professionals to produce financial products and services for agricultural producers.
• Develop knowledge of farm tax practices and agricultural operations.
• Organize documents and provide administrative support, including scanning, printing, and mailing.

Requirements

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, agricultural business, business administration, economics, or finance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, accurate work.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated approach and willingness to learn Adobe and other technologies.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of agriculture and agricultural operations.
• CPT or pre-OPT eligibility.
